Michael J I have a couple of questions for you. I too have the 2007 RX400h and I have the Vaistech SL2i installed. I was wondering if with the basic Lockpick 3 you are able to see all of your folder, song, etc. information in the navigation screen when the car is in motion? Also can you still use the controls for the ipod on the navigation screen when in motion?

Also was there any problem with the "I Agree" screen as both the Lockpick3 and the Vias SL2i will "press" the button for you?

Question 1 - No, basic LockPick3 will not enable music info while in motion. Darn!
Question 2 - "I Agree" was not affected by my Vais unit, but it was disabled by the LockPick3. LockPick is worth it for this feature alone.

Thanks for the response Michael J. The I agree is already taken care of with my Vias SL2i so I guess the only thing the Lockpick would do for me is to let me use the Nav while driving. That is a nice thing too. Thanks again!

So with the Lockpick3 you can do all the functions of the NAV system that are greyed out while in motion now?

I got it and installed it in less than 10 minutes, If I did it again I could probably do it in less than 5. The only objection is the screen grays out for a few seconds every once in a while, But it is a lot better than what I had before

My LP3 isn't perfect but it is well worth the $100. It presses the agree button for you, it allows you to use the NAV. You push DEST then push the left upper corner of the screen and you can don't all the NAV stuff. The only downside is that every few minutes the screen grays out the buttons for a few sceonds. By it, it as good as it will ever get unless you burn a hybrid DVD

Default Installing the Coastal Tech Ultimate Lockpick1 in a 2006 RX400h

Michael J, Good posting.

Unfortunately, I have a 2006 RX400h and I discovered the cable connectors and the Nav Disc Player are different from yours. Looks like I have to follow the Coastal Tech installation instructions.

Does anyone know how to disassemble the console around the radio/Nav screen so I can install my 2006 Ultimate Lockpick1?

Thanks for any assistance.

Why disassemble the console around the radio/Nav screen? I may be wrong but I doubt the location of the DVD player was mover from 06 to 07. In order to install the lock pick you plug it into the DVD player. The advantage of having a RX is the DVD player is in the rear, not under the dash board so there is no need to muck around under the dash board.

Thanks for the update. How DID you get that tool kit box up? I've spent 10 minutes so far, but nothing seems to work short of taking a hammer to it.

Will the ultimate lock pick 3 work with the 08 RX 400h with ML or are we all stuck with the basic lock pick?

Also will it allow me to play video through the regular dvd player in the front console in motion without the emergency brake on?

I tried calling these clowns at coastal tech twice with an answering service saying they would call me back but they have not yet and their email doesnt work or they dont care. These guys could be rich if they ran their business right.

Thanks for any help.

Default 2007 RX400H, NO Mark Levinson, will Lockpick3 work?

I have a 2007 RX400h but it doesn't have the mark levinson system, did anyone try the lockpick on a non-ML car?

According to Coastaltech if you have a non ML RX you can use the Lockpick 3 ultimate. If you have ML you can only use the lock pick 3 basic.
