Default Nav software override possible?

Hi folks,
just got an RX400h, got pretty good deal, over $5k under MSRP here in socal. anyway, we have an IS250 as well, and the nav was allowed to be over-ridden by going to the volume screen, tapping upper left, lower left, upper left, lower left, then holding down "override" for 2 seconds. i tried that on the RX, but no luck. is there another secret way to override the nav so it's usable while driving?
i wish lexus would just sense if someone's sitting in the passenger seat and allow the nav based on that (just as how they sense if someone needs to fasten their seatbelt in the passenger side).

No one has found a way to do so on the 2007s.

Can I ask how you got that kind of a deal? Did you ONLY buy the car or did you trade something in?

the car MSRP'ed for $48,306 (i got black on black w/ navi and premium plus, along with "options" like wood trim and wood steering wheel and heated seats, options that happen to be in every single RX we looked at)
i used edmunds.com and cars.com to get dealer referrals in my area. a few came back with $44k, one came back with $43,700, i then got someone in the $44k quote asking me what they can do to close the deal, i threw out $43,000 and they said "lets do it." i did not step 1 foot in the dealership, they delivered last Friday.

Default DVD overide

I also tried the wiring change on the 07 with no luck. I am working with the tech that works @ the dealer and He is unable to find any overide... However the info for the 07 is not released yet... According to him.

I hammered the dealer here in upstate NY and only got 3k off MSRP they have many buyers and only so many vehicles apparently

let us know if you find a way to bypass that think its really ticking me off

thanx
