It goes fast, it delivers a knockout 38 highway miles per gallon, there's no smell, and it costs just $1,000 more than the gas model, vs. Lexus's $8,000 premium for its GS hybrid sedan.

i think when you compare the technology and all the gadgets b/w MB and Lexus, you would have to shell out more $$$ for a MB to compete with the Lexus. i was considering buying an MB but with a hefty price tag for the options i wanted, i opted for my IS instead.

Yeah but we're not talking about IS vs C, we're talking about E vs GS, specfically the Bluetec vs Hybrid.

Diesel, Gasoline, all from fossil fuel which = deminishing resource, so doesn't really matter at this point. Hybrid is a better approach to the future. Even if you had a vehicle that did 50 mpg on diesel, can go anywhere if diesel runs out.

Hydrogen is just another medium of moving energy.
All energy is diminishing because it's all limited no matter what reference frame you use.
We will all die someday.

Me?
Yes.
Conservation of energy.
Think about it this way though, pick a reference frame. Let's say earth.
Energy .. yes.. is conserved but because our reference frame excludes the sun, we technically have a new source of unlimited energy in a sense.

Oh my gosh, wtf am I typing?

because our reference frame excludes the sun??? what in the world are you talking about? The sun IS our virtual infinite source of energy. If humans are still around by the time the sun dies out, we will hopefully have the technology to inhabit other planets and be near other suns. If not, we will be extinct just like every other life form that has ever lived on earth.

Sorry dude, this is not the debate forum.

And I think GS drivers tend to be fairly mature. OK I admit it.
I am too old for this...

It's easy to be mature when you own one of the best-looking cars on Earth.
