Default Disassemble / Remove rotating screen on dash, how?

My neighbor bought a 2010 HS 250h, she dropped a flat, round mason jar lid into the slot next to the screen and didn't realize it, now the lid is jammed between the bottom of the screen and the housing. I tried grabbing it with a surgical clamp type thing but it's wedged in so tightly I couldn't pull it out.

Does anyone have a procedure or video showing how to get this unit out of the car so I can disconnect one hinge and pull the lid out?

TIA,
Mike

That's a new one and I doubt anyone here, with its low traffic can help. Have you tried long needle nose pliers?
Otherwise, I recommend your friend visit a car audio shop for help removing the lid. A car audio/stereo place will be familiar taking dashboards apart.

Thanks, I was reluctant to try to force the lid through the gap between the screen housing and the dash, but thinking about it I doubt there are switches or wires down there so I was thinking of spraying the area with silicone then pulling it through with a needle nose and hoping it doesn't stress the lcd screen so much that it damages it. The stereo shop is a great idea too.
Thanks,
Mike
