No. However, the car must be off. If you have not done spark plugs before, you have to be careful not to break them on installation. They do not require much torque, just enough to seat them well. You do not want to break the ceramic part. Not sure of the torque rating as I am so old school I can do it by feel.

Thanks. I'm gonna give it a try next month. Just one more question, did you use any dielectric or anti-seize during the installation?
