Default 2010 HS250H or 2011 HS250H

I am thinking about the HS250H because i can pick a 2010 up and a 2011 up localy for almost around the same price the 2010 just had the Blower Motor and Water pump replaced at the Lexus Dealer so im leaning towards that it has 101k on it.

im wondering is the only reason this vehicle only lasted 2 model years because in 2013 Lexus started making the ES in a hybrid ?

can someone tell me any of the big or most common issues with this model vehicle for the HS250h ?

They still make the vehicle, they only imported it to the US for 3 model years. It is still sold in Japan and Europe. They decided the US wanted a bigger hybrid and stuck the motor into the ES. Sales are higher for the ES.

No real problems for the HS except the 2010 has a few more as it is the first year. However, there is now a transmission recall so most or all 2010s get a new transmission. Plus everyone gets a new fuel pump. The 10 I think had some rear trailing arm issues but these were addressed by Lexus.
It has the solid Camry hybrid drive train, however some engines start to use a bit of oil after a lot of miles. If you have the dealer run an oil use test and you fail, you get a new engine.
Other than the fuel pump recall I have not had any issues with my 2011. Just tire and wiper replacement. Be sure to change the transaxle fluid around 50,000 miles. It is a simple drain and fill of 4 quarts like a manual transmission.
