cleaning hybrid battery cooling fan filter
HS 250h cooling fan filter: Is there a service interval to clean it? What if I don't?

The HS does not have a filter for the battery cooling fan. Lexus/toyota only started using those on the next generation hybrids.
The vent is on the plastic trim to the side of the rear seat on the driver side. It is in front of you when you open the door.
There is a thread here discussing how to take the rear seat out and clean the cooling fan ducts and fan itself. It has excerpts from the service manual attached.
See this thread: It has photos and at post 10 a link to the thread with the service manual PDFs. Post 11 has the cooling fan section PDF.
Post 14 onward shows photos of the job.
