Since the side mirror turn signals are LED, are they ran off a different relay as the headlight and tail light turn signals? And if so... why?

 

Good question.

There's only one turn signal relay in the car, and it's a real pain to get to. The manual has you remove the dash board, but someone with thin hands might be able to get it out with only a few scraped knuckles.

I guess the mirror LED's must have a resistor built into them, otherwise the lights would hyper flash like when you put LED's into the front or rear positions without changing the relay.
