Auto Door Lock Settings
 

Am I getting the auto door lock concept wrong?

I've set it up to lock automatically after 30 seconds, going through the process and even watching as it 'saves" - but the doors don't lock by themselves.

How is that supposed to work. Are they supposed to lock after I walk away from the car or while I'm driving?

Anybody else have trouble with it? Any ideas what I -- or the car -- may be doing wrong?

The doors will not lock themselves. That setting is for when you press the unlock on the remote fob and don't open the doors. The car will relock itself after the set amount of time.

The doors will auto re lock after 60 seconds if you don't open a door after unlocking them. Is this what you meant? You can also turn this setting off, or 30 seconds, or 120 seconds.

You can also set it up to lock all the doors when you put it into drive, or set it up to lock all the doors when you drive away at a certain speed.

You can also set it up to unlock all the doors when to put it into park, or just the drivers door.

Also when you touch the door handle can be set up to unlock all doors, or just the drivers door.

The same with the fob push button. Unlock all doors with just one push, or just the drivers door.
