Rear suspension arm recall
I took the car to the dealer yesterday for an oil change and asked to have the rear suspension arms inspected as per the recall notice I received last December. To my pleasant surprise the service writer said that Lexus would fill up my tank with premium gas (!) as compensation for the inconvenience of the recall. The tank was half full (or half empty, if you are a pessimist) so I got $36 worth of gas compliments of Lexus.
As I expected the suspension arms were okay. I saw on the work order that a "caution label" is listed as a part used in the recall. I presume that the label advises technicians how to correctly tighten the rear suspension arms when a 4-wheel alignment is done.

Recheck with your local dealer, parts should be available at this time. Take you car to the dealer with an empty fuel tank. The recall includes a tak of fuel for the inconvenience, take advantage of it.
