my irritations
As long as i'm posting today, here's my 60 days in list of minor complaints. I picked up my 2010 Hs250h premium the weekend before US Thanksgiving.
* the night auto dimming mirrors.. I hate it and want it to default to OFF. I plan to tint the windows and I will want that feature OFF even more then I'm sure.
* the radio display has plenty of room to show me more info for XM radio. Info like the artist and song, I shouldn't have to click TEXT to see that. Even some song titles get cut off. My wife's 2005 Honda Accord has a way nicer XM interface.
* remote starter: how dumb is it that the car turns off when I get in? i have the key in my pocket, you know it's me, come on!
* it appears due to the Toyota recalls, the floor mats now are cut way back from underneath the gas and brake pedals. when i get in with dirty shoes I totally miss the mat.
* something about how "auto" works with climate control is not quite right. This is probably my 5th car in a row where I had "auto" but in previous cars my windows didn't fog up. My preference is to leave it on auto but I am constantly messing with defrost.

Yeah those auto-dim mirrors drive me nuts too - they are too dark to see safely on a multi-lane road. They should default to whatever you left them on the last time you were in the car.
I find the climate control to be substandard as well. I've never had to fiddle with the temp on other cars, but in this one, I have to jack it up to 78/79 in the summer to keep from freezing, but only in full sun - makes me think the sun sensor is out of whack (dealer said it works to spec). And the front defrost does not come on when the windshield wipers are going - I thought everyone had figured that out by now?
Have you tried removing those floor mats to clean them? Those hooks are a bear to disengage. Talk about over engineering something to appease lawyers.
Otherwise (well, I hate the throttle lag too), it's not a bad car at all. Had a chance to trade it in at 110% of blue book for a TSX the other week, and thought about it, but decided I liked the HS more.
