I had a 07 Camry hybrid before my 07 IS350 and I would actually consider something like this. I drove my dad's Prius for a while and didn't like it, aside from the gas mileage. I didn't like other Prius drivers waving at me, for some reason. And for good or bad, Prius drivers seem to be pigeonholed into a stereotype that I never felt I belonged. Camry hybrid was "stealth" in that it looked like every other Camry on the road, except for the hybrid badging. But while my Camry had every option in the books, but in the end, it was still a Toyota. It didn't feel cheap, of course, but it just felt normal, like dressing up a plain looking girl in a mile of lace.

So if they can combine a good gas mileage with quality and luxury of Lexus brand, it definitely merits a close look. It'd be hard to give up the IS, but I got a growing daughter and another one the way so I need something with a bit more backseat space. Since I would rather not get the SUV/cross-overs, and really dislike the ES, my options are basically GS and this, as I don't quite make LS money yet. And factor in the amount of driving I do, this one starts to edge out the GS hybrids.

Consider yourself corrected. Why would they get the same mpg?
