Default Replace Trunk Latch Actuator and Trunk Release Button

Ok, refurbished hybrid battery is good so far! Fingers and toes crossed.

I'm moving onto the trunk latch issues. I want to see if I can tackle this on my own with my nephew. Has anyone bought the knock-off Actuator and the knock-off Trunk Release switch (the squishy one that turns to goo) from eBay or Amazon? If so, did they work out for you?

I've looked at a few You Tube videos and it doesn't seem that difficult to replace either of these. The only question I have that I'm hoping someone knows the answer to is: Do you have to disconnect the 12V battery to do the replacement?

If there is a previous post about this, my apologies.

Happy Fall from a hot (and muggy) southern California.

I didn't see the answers to my questions in these threads, so if anyone can answer - thank you!

Someone bought a trunk actuator that was not specifically for HS250h. I'm wondering if anyone has bought the knock-offs that are a match!

Hi there TaylorPup. I performed this task and I did not have to disconnect the 12V battery. You can review my post on this task for reference. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/hs-...0h-corner.html.

Default Squishy button

So the squishy button is super easy to swap. That did not fix my issue though. I wonder if it is the button in the cabin. That one is harder to find a replacement for.
