No offense but why would you want to be in a car crew? Gotta do stuff to fall in line with the crew...***** dat. Second to no one and do whatever you want.

Well I figure being in a car crew you get some extra help when needed and you get to meet new people. I think abiding by whatever spoken or unspoken rules is a small price to pay for the experience... then again I would only join if I had some good friends in it.

I was in a car club myself. Ours was a little differnt in that we had a few members like me in our mid 30s, and also younger members in their early 20s, and between. Most of us had Lexus, Infiniti's, Acura's and such so things like street racing, speeding wasn't what we were into. It was more cruising, BBQs, lunches and things like that. At car shows is when the car club members can help. Sometimes you get discounts or preferable treatment at a car show with reserved spots and such. At the show roll in and prep your car club members often help detail, transports items, and even drive other members cars when they are not able to roll in themselves. If you find the right car club that fits your style and have members that you enjoy hanging out together than it can be a good thing. Often, when you find such a group of people, the rules they may or may not have doesn't really matter since your personality agrees with those rules anyway.
The car club I was in also would hold mod days. I think a lot of car clubs do this. Basically it is just a day when a member('s) have new mods that they may want/need help installing like suspension, car audio, engine mods, whatever that is whithin the skill level of the members and they get together at someones house, or even a shop if they have connections for the install. Things like that builds friendships, can become educational for those members that didn't have the skills to perform such mods to learn from those that do, and just have a good time and saves members money from having to hire a shop to do the work.
Car clubs can be troublesome when it starts to get political. As longs as the members of any car club remember why they started the club to begin with and just remember it is all a hobby and all for fun all should be good.

I was in Rated R back in the 90's. The O.G. Rated R not the new kids. It started out as friends all in the Ewa Beach area then spread all over. It was to the point that we would see cars with Rated R stickers on it and would be like " Who the hell is that?". Anyway, long story short, some members bailed out and created Team Genocide. That was the beginning of the end of Rated R Racing.
I would join a club, but it would depend on the members and the quality of cars they put out. I wouldnt roll wit wack *** cars....Just my 2 cents.

just roll solo, less trouble come behind it... if you roll with a crew and theres one bad apple, it f%&ks it up for everyone, youll be affiliated... or just roll with some close friends...
