An ideal time to visit San Antonio is during the ten-day Fiesta San Antonio celebration that culminates with "Fiesta Flambeau Parade", America's largest night parade through the streets and waterways of downtown San Antonio. Beginning April 20 and running through April 30, the celebration features a series of parades, music, food, and cultural celebrations throughout the city that span two weekends.

Don't miss the Riverwalk along the San Antonio River in the Downtown area, replete with restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and bars. While the nightlife is incredible, a daylight tour down the river on one of the many tourist barges winds within a block of the Alamo. Here Mexican and German cultures of the region blend into a spring fiesta that's second to none in the state. Mark it on your calendar now for an unusual and colorful spring vacation that can be enjoyed by adults and kids alike.

pool salt chlorinator stopped working... control box the issue... replacement circuit board price $340... local pool shop though can repair boards... they said if i took the board in i'd avoid the service call charge. cost to repair including part (unsoldering and resoldering capacitor): $18

pool auto cleaner had lost its mind and was going in circles... took it in to another pool shop... guy replaced 3 worn plastic gears inside in about 3 minutes. cost? $75 not shop's fault, that's just what those parts cost. considered new cleaner instead... price $430+tax, um no.

I usually rent from Thrifty because of the catchy name. You don't just show up in a Thrifty rent a car. You arrive. I almost didn't forgive them for sticking me with a PT Cruiser years ago when I was meeting with my grad school buddies in DC. My friends agreed the car was cute. Thrifty forgave me for backing it into a post. I have never been to the Alamo.

Never been to the Alamo and I think I'm OK with that. I regret not going to the Riverwalk last time I was on TX and would like to make good on that
