For those who are looking for latest price on Lexus platinum extended warranty, I got mine 7/75k for $1655 from Troy. Mine is 2005 GX with 39k miles. He also has 7/100k for $ 2145.

Thats a decent price.Does anyone know if extended warranty prices vary with different models? We just bought a 2005 RX and the dealer tried selling us an extended warranty at that time.He wanted almost $2600.

Yes, it various by model. I remember seeing RX around $1200 for 7/75k. Not sure on $ but definitely cheaper than GX.

I was wondering if you have to be the original owner to purchase the Lexus warranty? Or do they sell it to anyone as long as the truck is still under the original warranty?

I do believe you can buy the warranty if you still are under warranty , I also bought my extended warranty from Troy

Yes its a Lexus warranty, Lexus is the same as Toyota.

Can Troy write a warranty for a car in New Jersey? My local dealership (Lexus of Edison) quoted be $3,600 (with a 20% discount) so, that is quite a difference!

im from NJ, and i got my gx warrantied from troy last week. I was quoted 2900 from lexus of englewood. Troy took care of it.

interestingly I just got a call this morning from a extended warranty broker. my 05 with 55k is out of warranty. I wonder if I could still get some thing from a lexus dealer?? (Apparently Lexus informs them of recently expired vehicles and owner contacts)

Anyway, the best deal that the broker offered was a 5yr, 100k additional miles, $100 deductible from United Car Care. The price =$2830.
Anyone know about these guys? 100k additional is nice if you are keeping the vehicle long term... But price seems high to me.
