I have a 2025 RX350 and I am considering moving to the GX550. I am debating between the Premium Plus and the Overtrail. I like the P+ luxury features but I wonder about how the E-KDSS contributes to on-road ride quality with the Overtrail: does it make a significant difference? I do not anticipate that I would need it for off-road capability. Thoughts?

 

Just picked up our Overtrail+ on Friday. Picked the OT+ specifically because we didn't need the third row and wanted the extra space. Can't say I compared the luxury to the OT, but the KDSS is also designed for on-road stability and roll. It does feel more stable in the turns/corners (had a GX460, serious body roll). Also a detraction is you don't get the electronic rearview mirror on the OT (used to it from the LX). The OT is nice also for the 1" lift, seems to make using the running boards easier for entry/exit. Detraction from the RX is noise, the OT is significantly louder (wind) on the highway.
