GX460 vs LX600 Interior Space
I noticed that the cargo capacity for the 3 row LX600 is the same as the GX. I grabbed the passenger space info from car & driver for both SUVs to compare them. There is more hip and shoulder room, but not nearly as much extra interior capacity/room as I would have thought. I wonder if this hints that the next gen GX might be a bit more snug, hard to see it getting any more interior room as it would be odd if the full and mid size SUVs had the same interior space.

FWIW, I came from a Land Cruiser. I haven't looked at the published interior specs, but my wife & I both say the only real difference in terms of interior space is the front row width. I know the LX600 is based on a new platform, but I am assuming interior measurements are similar to old platform. In the end, the measurements you quote agree with our seat of the pants feeling.
To me there's certainly a difference between the two. With the LC200 being superior in almost every way. And I'm certain the LX600 has significantly more luxury than the LC200.
Point is, I don't think Lexus has to change the dimensions of the GX to create differentiation.

The three row LX600 has less interior cargo room than the LX570 which has 83.1 cubic ft vs 64 for the LX600 (which is the same as the current GX). Which makes me think that unlike the normal trend of the line up getting bigger with each new model overhaul, that might be unlikely for the upcoming GX550 given the interior capacity of LX600 might be an upper ceiling on it - which is essentially already binding on most dimensions on the current GX.
