Actually...I was referring to that sensor at the very middle and top of the windshield. I don't think that is the current LDA. I don't believe I am looking at rear view mirror.

Ah, okay but I still don’t think the infotainment is taped in there.
Notice the seat color here.

Not sure...that black tape on the right side of infotainment.....maybe it is holding something else down.

tecman: isn’t that the blue jeans of the driver? :-)

edit: Saw your post about camera..... probably that.

Thanks!! Right in plain sight and I didn't notice :-)

EDIT: I wonder if interior still targeted for the eurasian or middle eastern markets?

Personally I'm disappointed - while the world gets a new Prado, we get a revamped GX460 with very similar sheet metal and an interior refresh - this suv after 15 years on the market being pretty close to what it was in 2008, deserves better.

Here are the same pictures on Instagram but zoomed in a little bit more

Where is the wooden steering wheel?? I see the safety sense buttons (lane departure and cruise) on the right hand side of the steering wheel.

I wonder if the center odo screen is color or just a larger black and white

Toyota is really getting their moneys worth milking the life of their R&D costs on the trucks and body on frame SUVs.

The center odo display looks like my 17 RX350 same as the shifter and steering wheel. Definitely LDA, dynamic cruise control available as shown on the right side of the steering wheel.

Is it only me that thinks the new front facia got a better approach angle? Also in addition to the hope of getting an 8-speed transmission, I'm also eager to see dual injection (port/direct) thus increased performance figures while using regular gas. Current engine originally had direction injection when used for LS but they removed and replaced with port injection when applying to GX. So I think having it equipped with both shouldn't be that hard.. Personally if I had to pick one between 8-speed tranny and dual injection, I'd pick dual injection. I also think it would be less complication for engineers to make the engine dual injection vs. putting an 8-spd tranny and re-calibrating shifting logics etc.

The GX needed a more pronounced refresh. It’s basically identical to the interior of my 2011. The steering wheel is nice but personally my fathers 2013 ES has the same steering wheel with wood and it’s heated!!. I like the shifter, more in tune with RX. I thought for sure they would have added dual exhaust outlets to at least modernize the rear bumper. It looks like the barn door lives another year to fight.

Where have you read about an all new Prado? All that I've found on line was that it's still the 150, which is the same as the GX.

That door type is needed for mounting the spare wheel (and the extra fuel tank) for the global markets where the 150 was specifically designed for (which is not the US).

I am pretty certain that the refresh will make it look more like the current LX front end to be more inline with the rest. Interesting that this started to sell well when Lexus reduced the entry price. I paid more for the GX in 2014 than they are new now with the same package.

They keep pumping this thing out with little change since 2010. I mean, it sells, people love it. Why change a great thing? I do wish they offered a software update for those of us with older models for the infotainment setup. I'm guessing the hardware was upgraded as well between years and this is the main reason it can't be offered.
