i got the luxury, i went back and forth with the premium for me the biggest factor was the front cameras; since wife drives this from time to time she appreciates the help cameras provide. Also i think the ride is somewhat better; i bought a brand new 2018 for my father in law premium and i have the luxury one, you cant go wrong with either.

I picked up the car today, Black/Black Premium with Sport.
So far the ride quality is pretty good, V8 has plenty of power.
Option-wise a downgrade from my Jeep Summit-Hemi, but I think the GX is a better SUV overall.

By the way, before this thread is completely over, you really should post a couple of pic's.
Especially interior center console pictures, since I think that is where there may be changes throughout the years on this GX.

I will post some later today.
The only thing i don't like about is are the front and rear ground effects trim pieces. Those are coming off this weekend for sure.
Also need to de-chrome it a bit, I was thinking vinyl wrap for the chrome pieces, unless there are other better suggestions.

I know many people have used PlastiDip for de-chroming their rigs. It's been used on rims, grills, badging and more, even tool handles. Check out their web site: https://www.dipyourcar.com/?gclid=Cj...RoCNG0QAvD_BwE
Nice thing about PlastiDip is it peels off easily if either you goof up the application or get tired of it.

Congrats! Did you buy from dealer in Bellevue, Seattle or Tacoma?

My dad moved from a 2012 JGC Overland to a 2019 Premium and I moved from a 2015 JGC SRT to a 2019 Premium. We both think that there are some outdated quirks, but agree that the GX460 feels like a much better build in general and are happy with our decisions.

I consider Toyota Safety Sense (probably 2.0) a big difference. It's 2019, you would not buy a new car without adaptive cruise control, PCS, auto high beams etc. Plus Apple car play and Android auto... Considering that 4Runner limited is also AWD with Torsen center differential, the only difference is the engine. If GX would not be updated (but I am almost sure that it will be), I would definitely go with 4Runner Limited, it would be a much better car.

I believe there are fewer vehicles than you think that have adaptive cruise and auto high beams on base models. I'm not aware of many 2019 auto models that offer these features standard.

For example Toyota Corolla :-) Yes, there are still a few vehicles without it. But I don't think that it's a good idea to buy them. But we will see when 2020 GX will be available. I think that it will get Lexus Safety System+.

Anyone who has not purchased, but are close to pulling the trigger ... DO NOT purchase from Lexus of Bellevue ...they have gone all “shell game” when representing the numbers ... very slimy tactics, which is a huge shift from my 2010 purchase experience.

At this point every single vehicle under the Toyota badge gets TSS standard, and every Lexus vehicle EXCEPT the GX gets that standard.

I dont know, considering how slow Toyota pushes itself to adopt market features, its surprising the auto giant has adapted at such a fast pace to push safety suites. If they intend to keep the GX without it, it`d be a pretty poor position, seeing how vehicles half in price spec it out as standard kit.

Imho, if Toyota keeps the GX as is for 2020, its time to push the price down to start in the 40s, for yesterdays tech.
