Default Just bought a 14 GX

Took her home today. 75k miles.

Only issue that needs to be addressed is I am unable to lock the vehicle with the remote. I believe one of the front door lock actuators are bad. I have to bring it back next week for the dealer to look at it.

Has things changed since 2014? Doesn't Luxury package comes with darker rims?

One way to determine a '10-'13 Premium or '14+ Luxury is that silver trim extends up the rear window

versus the following on 10-13 base and '14+ base & Premium

I thought that was the premium.

It does not have heated steering wheel, mark leviston, electric 3rd row, adjustable suspension, or crawl control. It also does not have the driver support package.

It does however have the wheels, wood steering wheel headlight washers climate control and heated seats for the 2nd row seats.

Ah ha! So premium.

Well so far I love it.

I traded in a 05 4runner. I hope this lasts as long and is as reliable. My 4runner had 280k on it.

I have an extra set of rims from my 4runner, 17" 2015 4runner rims with bridgestone blizzaks, im hoping they will fit right on. I also have wheel spacers from my 4runner.

So you bought it thinking luxury version but turned out to be a premium? While both of them are nice either way, your price point should reflect the package you are purchasing and price difference is not insignificant. Just wondering.

No, I priced it out knowing it wasn't the base model, or the better model, and knowing it didn't have the driver support package.

There were zero GX's in my area with the driver support package.
But the models with the adjustable suspension and mark Levinson were significantly higher.

I knew exactly which model I was looking at, just thought the better one was called premium.

And I wasn't able to use the dealer descriptions because they don't know ether. Most say their cars had all the options. And they in fact did not.

I picked them out by the pictures.

Wood steering wheel, climate controls in the back, added speaker on the rear door, ect.

I was going to look at a "luxury" one that day, but the dealer caved and gave me what I wanted for my 4runner. The luxury one I was going to look at was $7k more, and 30k less miles.

Does anyone have any insight on the door locks?

When I press the lock button on the remote, the rear doors lock, but I don't hear any sound coming from the front doors, and they don't lock.

I was thinking door lock actuator.

That is kinda odd both fronts don't work.

Do the internal controls work for the front door locks?

Both the front driver and passenger front doors will not lock or unlock from ether front door switches.

Both front door switches will unlock and lock the rear doors.

Hard to say conclusively without doing electrical test

Looking at wiring diagram: actuators, ECU or junction connector(s)

I made an appointment for them to check it out Thursday.
I'm just hoping it's something simple, I don't want to not have it for a long period

That should be something fairly easy for the dealer to figure out. It's the random problems that are the difficult ones.

Have you look at the vehicle's service history?
