I agree ...going to request a replacement. There is another product out there as well if this doesn’t work out. I think for $100 I would have tried to fix it myself....seems kinda absurd for $200 for what these are. Buyer beware at this point. Reading some stories online that eTrailer might not have the best records for returns and I have bought quite a few things from them over the years. Hopefully I have painless experience though.

Let us know how it goes. I may go with airbags instead, which is obviously a different type of solution, but less than $100.

After going back with eTrail and Timbren it was suggested I wasn't putting enough grunt into.

Ok... here goes nothing. Put them in a vice and threw my whole body into with a large breaker bar & socket and they did thread up tight.

Word of caution if you purchase these but now that is out of the way plan to install within the next couple weeks.

I just installed it this past weekend. I also noticed that it when I initially put them together, it didn't look right. There were too much gap between the bracket and the rubber bumper. So I took it apart again and sprayed some WD40 and tightened it as much as I could. Seems to have worked. Will see how it handles with the trailer. As far as the "moderate" ride improvement, I didn't feel any...

Acrad, I installed both front and rear. I don't have the RAHC...If it weren't for the captains chair, I would've gotten the Luxury edition with RAHC.

I wonder if the Timbren front or rear will affect full KDSS articulation travel on stock suspension vehicles?

I put the rears on in the last hour.

• I removed each rear tire which seemed to make replacement a lot easier than trying to work completely underneath. I don't have a lift.

• Old bolts are 12mm and new ones are 13mm

• Didn't like how close ABS wire sat next to the Timbren so gently zip-tied it a small distance away attached to the brake line. This could be an issue when Timbren contacts the axle.

• As for where to place.... well I guess I will have to see where the Timbren contacts the rear axle but ended up putting them all the way back. I notice the stock ones come in at a angle but they also are angled somewhat. You can look and visually see what I mean without taking anything off.

Noticed these things squeak when going over speed bumps in parking lot. Maybe a little grease would help?

Jury still out if I am gonna keep them.

Also notice suspension rests on them on L setting. Not sure yet if this actually has removed some of the lower travel range.

Acrad35751, have you increased/raised your suspension at all? If so, what do you think this may do to off-road articulation?
These look interesting, but I don't want to compromise my articulation in severe off-road maneuvers.

Stock suspension here.

Not sure yet on the articulation. I am keeping my old hardware in case I notice it compromising articulation. They are supposed to give on the lower sections so may be a moot point on articulation concerns.

I'm not sure one would know for certainty unless they did a measured test with and without these at the same spot.

Grease did quiet the squeak sound.

All I can say with my stock AVS/RAHC setup I can notice a difference on the rear. Even on AVS Comfort Mode it is still very comfortable but seems far more controlled. Maybe lack of wallowing rebound or more controlled on really rough roads in Comfort mode.

Do you think it’s worth the investment? I am seriously considering as long as ride isn’t compromised or bouncier.

how are you coping with snowmaggedon in Seattle? Those Michelin X-Ice should be in their element. We are trying to avoid the roads due to everyone else who can smash into you...

So far I think they are but I only have the rear as well. I'll have a more complete picture next weekend when I make a 400 mile round trip with them on.

The X-Ice are working EXCELLENT.

I'm in the snowy pass and mountains so much during the winter it seems an extension of that. As usual a lot of unprepared but I see careful drivers too.

I see latest forecast puts more potential snow on the ground late Sunday night into Monday, second shot on Tuesday and another potential one end of the week.

I remember a two week period here in late 1985 that was similar to this event for cold and snow.
