Default Costco Michelin Tires - 25% back PLUS $70 off when buying 4 with Costco Visa 1/1 Only

Happy New Year!

Only valid for Costco Members buying 4 Michelin tires w/Costco Visa card.

Basically you get the $70 off standard deal but on January 1st you can also stack a 25% Costco rebate card.

I'm not going to get into taxes/install/TPMS/etc... because those will vary based on location but in Maryland I just purchased 4 Michelin Defender 265/65R18 for $858.16 and that is before the 25% off Costco rebate card which should be $204.99 making my total $653.17 plus install/TPMS/etc but I am more than happy with that.

Great deal for those that are looking. Happy shopping.

This is GREAT deal. I got the same tires and size for about $1100 installed.

I saw the email alert today. It's a good deal!

Just ordered 4 Sport A/S 3+ tires for the LS 460.

Sorry I am not a tire guy but I am assuming that 265/65R18 size works with the factory wheels? I thought 265/60R18 is the original size.

Correct. Apparently you can go even larger but then there is a rubbing issue with a screw on one of the front tires. I was only trying to fill the wheel well up a bit more with these.

Check with your local Costco Tire Center. Some Costco won't install tires if the size is different than what is listed for OEM.

Thanks for the heads up on this Sig Ep, I grabbed a set in the 11th hour last night. I gave just under a thousand for the last set of LTX MS2's in 2014.

I ordered Michelin Defender LTX MS tires, factory sized from Costco. Based on comments from a friend, I may have a little haggle ahead of me when the tires arrive.

They are rated for only 118 mph, while the original tires are rated for 130 mph. The Defenders do not appear when I ask for a Costco listing using the make, model number and year because of the speed designation. Meanwhile, the vehicle itself is limited to a top speed of 110. The original LTX MS2 tires and the Defender variant are said by Michelin itself to be identical except for some silicone deep in one of the tread grooves.

I hope I don't end up with an idiot service advisor with no common sense. These days you never know…

For anyone interested, Costco is running another Michelin Tire Special until January 13, 2019. $70 off and 1 cent installation. No purchase with a Costco Visa card required this time.

I'll let you know what happens with my install tomorrow. Just got the call that my 265/65R18 Defender's arrived....confirmed again with the tech on the phone that they would be ok to install....(same width just 1 inch taller). I had never even considered the speed rating until you mentioned it. As a double check I went on Tire Rack and searched by vehicle and tires with the "T" speed rating do come up so I'm not sure if Costco just restricts the results for liability reasons. Might even be Costco service level adviser dependent. Fingers crossed.

Saw that. This is their standard deal where you save the install fees ($60) on top of the $70 rebate. The New Year's deal basically gave you a free tire (in my case $204.99 Costco Cash Card) but you have to pay $60 install fees. So in my case I saved an extra $145 dollars over the normal deal which I thought was spectacular and why I posted for the group.

Yup, understood. I just posted this because its still a savings of $129 for those, such as myself without a Costco Visa card. I'm buying tires for my Subaru Impreza so its about the same for me since each tire is about $130 anyways.

Pleased to report Costco #208 installed the 265/65R18 Defenders with no issues. Only have a few miles on them @ sub 65mph speeds but so far they feel great!

They look great on your ride. Mine shipped to the local Costco, I should have them installed next week. The last set went 5 years, 65,000 miles on the wife's GX.
Thanks again for the heads up!
