Is it time to replace tires?

We got a flat the other day and now riding with the spare tire. The car has a little over 36,000 miles on it and is a 2015. The tires are stock Michelin Latitude Tour HP. I looked up these tires and they say they have a warranty until 55,000 miles. It appears the tires are fairly worn comparing them to the spare. Pics below.

Is it time to replace all the tires? Especially with winter coming.
Should I be getting more mileage out of these tires?

Is it worth shopping around? The car is still under warranty and the car is due for service anyways so may be easier to just have the dealer do it.

Pic of spare compared to other tires:

Just going off what I see and nothing else I would start shopping around for tires...

My 2015 got the same tires and replaced them at 31000 miles for Defender LTX in 265/65/18.

Thanks for the replies. Think I knew the answer to my own question before posting. Going to replace. Probably go with the same tires so the spare is identical.

You could probably get a pro-rated rate for the tires if you can prove you had them rotated/balanced every 5,000 miles but its probably not worth the hassle. The tires look worn down enough, I'd swap them especially if you live somewhere with rain/snow. Some people are more comfortable waiting for the tread to sit flush with the wear bars.

I wouldn't worry about matching the spare, it wont make any difference unless you are doing a 5 wheel rotation.

with the amount of cracking id say its time.

just an fyi ur doing the penny test wrong. it should be upside down. if the tread is on the line of the head, worn tires need 2 replace. if the tread goes above then caution.

the cracking here is probably more worriesome then anything

My 2015 GX460 with the same tires are also recommended for replacement around 35k miles, since they had about 4/32 tread left.

I went this same route and am very happy for 90% of my driving. It wasn't worth the trade-offs of a true AT tire for as often I need them.....

Sounds like a good time to upgrade tires. The OEM tires are quiet and smooth but personally I like a more aggressive tread pattern to match the vehicles performance capabilities. In the PNW I run Toyo AT/2’s for spring, summer, fall & Sumitomo ICE edge for winter.

The sumitomos are a rough ride but a good compromise for peace of mind for all the below freezing mornings.

Depending on where you are in the country you likely don’t want a specific winter tire but I would get something more aggressive. The Michelin Defenser LTX is popular among this forum and other land cruiser forums.

good luck on the search!

Interesting... my Michelin Latitude X-Ice Xi2 are noticeably smoother than my Michelin LTX M/S2

When it's time to replace my Tour HP's I will be looking at the LTX M/S2 or Continental TerrainContact A/T for my GX. I just had a bad experience with some Conti's on my IS350 in the past and have always been so happy with Michelin.

The bridgestone tires that came with my 2014 GX460 lasted 34k miles.
replaced with new set of yokohama tires, very comfortable tires.

the X-ice is for sure the smoothest tire and awesome in rain/snow. I got the sumis’s on a deal and figured I would run an experiment but I do wish I had the x-ice.

I got 70,000 miles, mostly highway, on my first set of Michelins. I followed proper inflation and tire rotation schedules.
