Default Tire Balancing Recommendation In Seattle Area

Hi guys,

For my 2016 GX Premium, I changed from the stock tires to Wildpeak AT3/W in 17s (265/65/17). I bought the tires and had them mounted at Discount Tires.

A couple of days after the tires were mounted, I noticed some vibration in the steering wheel and the passenger headrest. I went back to the shop and they admitted that they were indeed off the first time, so they re-balanced them again.

A week after that, I now notice a slight vibration again. I do not trust that shop anymore to do the job correctly (they even scratched my wheels but that's another story), so I am looking for recommendations for balancing shops in the North Seattle area, preferably near Lynnwood, Shoreline, Edmonds area.

Thank you.

I live in North Seattle too, right near the Shoreline border. Best place in Seattle for balancing and alignment is Tru-Line, https://www.trulineseattle.com/

I live in Kirkland and the guys at the Discount Tire off 124th are good.

you have to be sure to request “road force balance” and they will get it right.

For some reason the GX is very sensitive to tire balance so I have gone to les schwab, pep boys, Lexus of Seattle and the only ones that consistently have the road force balance machines are the discount tire stores.

i would go back until they get it right. Taking it somewhere else could cost you $60-$80 each time.
