Default '10-'13 or later GX 460

I have an '08 Gx and like the looks of the 2008 , probably because I own one , I want to upgrade to the 460 . Wondering if the all models with the 460 are the same , except the looks , interior and exterior , , I mean everything else . Mechanically . Maybe the 2013 is very mechanically different to the 2014 and up . Understand my question ? I hope so . lol

The GX powetrain and chassis have not been updated since 2010.

The GX interior config (captain chairs etc) and tech slightly updated and the way trim levels configured ie pre-refresh base and Premium while post its base, Premium and Luxury.

Easy answer is no. Gx460 from 2010-present are mechanically the same truck. There was an obvious refresh of the front end starting in 2014. I will say that the 2010-2011 base model had significantly more standard options including power third row and wood/leather steering wheel and gear shifter than the base of 2012 and up. I own a 2011 base purposely for this point and didn’t choose the premium to stay away from the air suspension, I had a 2004 with air suspension and once it showed signs of failure I replaced it with a 4Runner stock set up. Hope this helps.

The '10-'13 trims are basically the same both base and premium. Base '14+ comparatively has fewer features than '10-'13 base models. Here is a little background info as well as why pricing dropped on base as of 2014.

The package add-on to base was called the Comfort Plus Package

"COMFORT PLUS Package (GX 460) Semi-aniline leather-trimmed interior • Wood- and leather trimmed steering wheel and shift **** • Heated rear seats • Three-zone automatic climate control with interior air filter, smog sensor and automatic recirculation mode"

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...r-changes.html

It would be difficult to post all the options but one could option a '10-'13 Base very close to a Premium minus RAHC and AVS. Aside from suspension items...looking at a '12 as an example I think the only thing you couldn't get on a Base was a heated steering wheel and the driver support type packages. Earlier years prevents AFS on Base..

In many ways there were 3 trims in these years but it was through packages.
