Default New Iphone Connection Issue

Hey everyone,

I have a 2018 Lexus GX 460 Premium. I recently bought the new Iphone XS Max and it is not connecting to the infotainment via Bluetooth. Not as a phone not as a media. The Iphone X i had previously connected without any problem. I can only connect it as media with the wire. Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas how to fix it?

Have you tried to reset your phone, and pair it to the GX again? How about the phone paired with other Bluetooth devices? I have recently switched to iPhone XS and XS Max, have no issues with my 2016 GX.

I'll try to reset it and see if that works. The phone pairs with other bluetooth devices just fine.

How many devices you already paired with the gx? I think it can only do two. If you restored your old phone to the new phone you may have to remove the old one off the gx. I had to do it a couple of times when I got a X to replace my 7Plus.

I would unpair and re-pair the phone to the car. I’d recommend erasing the phone from the car and the car from the phone.

Removing the old phone pairing from the car and then re pairing new phone worked like a charm. I think is because it was restored from old phone it had the same name, that is why it would not pair with different Bluetooth address. Thank you all !
