CruiserTRD's GX460 Build Thread
Hi my name is Parker, finally got myself into a GX460. Previously I was on T4R.ORG. I love Toyota vehicles and don't plan on driving anything else!
My girlfriend has already decided her name is Sexy Lexi
Here is my old rig, 1998 T4R in anthracite metallic, as you can see I have a tendency to not leave things alone, however, plan on keeping the GX much more streetable.

I don’t recall ever seeing that bumper guard here and the pic also shows lower grille inserts changed.

Yeah that billet grill insert is kind of tacky. But that looks to be a factory bumper, I saw someone identify that bumper cover as a Jaos part, but I couldn't find it on there website. Thinking it might be a Russian accessory.

Best upgrade for the money is the F-Sport grill... highly recommend it.

Be careful on the install and take your time. It takes a bit of effort to separate the old grill from the chrome surround. Just work slowly and you'll get it. Was the first mod I did to my '12 when I got it last year. Still waiting to do the F-Sport wheels...

Did you have to remove your bumper to take that grill out, or can you get access to all the bolts by removing the plastic radiator cover?

Facory 20"s score
Just picked up this set of Toyota Sports Series wheels off of a Tacoma. I have no idea why Toyota thought they were an appropriate wheel for those trucks. They'll be much happier on my GX
They came wrapped in Falken rubber with about 4000 miles on them. Plan on getting them mounted this week or next, need to swap the TPMS over
Here's what they look like on a Tacoma

Ride feels firmer, still comfortable. Seems like my overall handling has improved, maybe a tad slower on acceleration. Went from a 265 to a 275, so I've got a bit more rubber on the road now. So far very happy
