Windshield Wiper Inserts
I bought some wiper insert refills for the front windshield. I figure I would post this in case anyone was also looking for replacements. These part numbers are for the rubber inserts only. It does not include the beam or arm. You will need to have the original wipers that came with the GX from the factory.
I've used these replacement inserts for the other Toyota/Lexus vehicles we have and haven't had any issues.
When I receive these, I will try to take some pictures during the replacement. It should only take a few minutes.
Part #:
Passenger Side: 85214-60120
Driver Side: 85214-02340
Rear: 85214-42040
I bought them from Belle Lexus ebay page. The links are below.

I agree that OEM inserts are the best. I replaced the fronts on both the GX and Camry with them a few months ago and can't complain. They are quiet and clean really well.

I might go back to stock once the Ikons wear out. I've found them a little noisy at times. Maybe I just need to clean the glass really well?

I went back to stock Lexus as well. So much smoother than the Bosch Icon and work great.
Driver Side: Lexus Blade 65 / PN: 85212-YZZ2H-LX 26" (650 mm) - $14.03
Passenger Side: Lexus Blade 50 / PN: 85212-YZZ2E-LX 20" (500 mm) - $14.03
I think the refill number might have changed. I was just looking and see these:
Driver Side: 8521468020 - $5.85
Passenger Side: 852140E140 - $5.85
Same rear number above - 85214-42040 - $5.85

I've been using OEM inserts for over a year and they are great. They clean really well and quiet with no streaks.
It's interesting that the same part number above has different prices depends on which car you're searching for. It looks like it's more expensive for Prius, Camry, RAv4 even though they are the same.

Wiper Inserts are a rip-off, but agree the OEM provide the best performance. Given the rear see's so little use, I replace the fronts ... and cut the length on the least worn front insert and install on the rear given the cost for the rear insert on most Toyota's is even more expensive than the fronts. The configuration is exactly the same between these part numbers ... only the length is different.
For the GX I bought the whole set on eBay last year when they were alot cheaper. I don't see I'll have to replace the rear very often.
I think it's good to keep an eye out for longer refills, sometimes they are on sale and you can cut them to fit the passenger side

I recently thought about trying this but maybe it is a gimmicky thing. Been using Bosh and not impressed. I will try the OEM.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Agree the rear does not wear that fast given the limited use, but have found that it gets fried in the Summer heat where the rubber hardens long before actual wear forces replacement.

I actually use my rear quite a bit... rear window on mine gets covered pretty easily in the rain and thoroughly dirty in the mountain passes in the winter.

I found that I get more mud, slush and dirt thrown at the rear window than the front, specially driving through melted snow and slush around here.
For example, for every time I have to wipe the windshield, I would have cleaned the rear window 3 times at least.
I guess it all depends on the environment you do your driving in..

I have noticed that when I have my GX washed and dried and drive 5 miles to my home the rear gate is dusty. I have been useing this for years and it helps between car washes.

I really like the PIAA silicone inserts. I havent gotten any lately because I scored a bunch of free blades and have just been throwing them out, but if i was going to order some id get the PIAAs again. I believe I used those inserts in a RAINX holder, but they might fit the originals if you still have them.
