You mentioned in a different forum needing some modifications for install, what exactly did you have to do? Just grab the 5th gen 4runner mount? I'm thinking hidden wench looks best on a gx...keeps its mall crawling looks, but increases capability.

At the time I purchased the mount from bud built they had it listed on the site as a GX460 mount. I sent them pictures of what I did during the install, I checked a few months ago and Bud removed it from the site. Its my understanding that its the same as the 5th gen mount. The modifications were the cutting of the tabs on the inner side of the mounts for the factory crash bar and adding the aftermarket power steering cooler. I wanted to use the Warn Zeon 10-S and if I remember I had to drill a few extra holes in the mounting plate to get that winch to sit where I wanted it to in the front end. I also had to cut a small section of the center support that runs in front of the radiator.

I am needing to sell my mount that I have, I have several people interested but nothing solid yet. Let me know if you have any other questions, I am here to help.

Any chance you can post some pics of just the mount before you sell? Measurements would be cool to! Thanks s bunch. I think factory bumper winch is my summer project!

How different are the 460 and 470 frame ends and spacing, etc.? I bought the SSO Incognito last year in a group buy, with the expectation of pulling the trigger on a 470... that 470 fell through and I bought a 460, and am wondering if I could use the mount or should I sell it and buy one "for" the 460...

I have an Ironman bumper. It has built in winch tray. My question is, did you have to move radiator lines a bit to have room for it?

I am still in the research phase as to which bumper/tray/mount to get--then still need to even choose a winch, too. Sorry I don't have more details.

I had thought about hidden but decided to go with the LFD hybrid.

I bought the Victory 4x4 Blitz bumper in Aluminum on 3/31 and will be putting the Badlands Apex 12k winch in it when it arrives.

if you look in the Q&A section they say the aluminum version is only 35 lbs. I would expect, based on some rough math, that it weights about 1/2 of the steel version so the numbers kind of work out.

I kinda wonder if the lower ducts being blocked would hurt cooling significantly. I do tow heavy in the rockies so that would be a concern for me.

That is pretty light. My LFD is going to be around 90lbs... I am going with one of the lighter weight WARN winches using synthetic line. I guess good thing I have the heavy duty Timbrens on front as not going to do any lifts at this time.
