Default IM INTERESTED IN KNOWING MORE ABOUT GX 460 SUPERCHARGER PERFORMANCE MANIFOlLDS

[QUOTE=RRRacing;10032882]Hi Everyone,

So we are thinking of taking on GX460 development in a big way. In case you haven't heard of us, please check the ISF, RCF, and IS3xx forums and you will find a lot of great info/reviews on our Superchargers and suspension products for those cars.

Here is the question:

(1) Would you be interested in forced induction option for the GX460. Either turbo or SC kit, with minimum 100hp increase in power as a "Stage I" kit?
(2) How much would you be willing to pay for a Stage I 100hp kit?

We are certain we can tune the ECU and make it safe and reliable, just a question of whether there is demand here or not.

I personally own a GX470 as my family car, which I absolutely love. So thinking of trading it for a GX460 to use as a development mule for SC/turbo, exhaust, tunes, etc.

thanks, and looking forward to some feedback!

Pic below of our RCF supercharger kit (a GX kit would be much less expensive, I know

Hi from Dubai, UAE, I use my GX 460 mainly for dune bashing that is driving up and down sand dunes. I have had the headers and cat box changed from 1.5” to 2.5” and the car In now tuned to 338hp In the dyno. But the performance on the desert is disappointing as it’s similar to what the FJ Cruiser can do and no more. The gearbox tends to let go somewhere between 3500-4000rpm in 3rd gear Low with the result the car can’t climb any further. But I happen to be in Dubai so what can you do or recommend? Seems it’s the tranny that’s not keeping up.

I would be interested I have a 2020gx460 with 25,000 miles. Would love a twin turbo kit but that keeps everything still reliable. It lacks speed so maybe would pay around $7,000. Give it a good sound would help too.

I'd be interested! Must be CARB approved for me to use it though. I have a TRD Magnuson supercharger on my 3rd Gen 4runner and love it. Adding one to my 2016 GX would be a dream...

The vendor posted this four and a half years ago, with no update since. Seems like the plan didn't go anywhere.

Default I love the idea.

I know I'm late on this but I started looking to add power. I'm about to start building on my GX. The plan is the do the lift and body mount chop to run 35's. I'd love the extra power. I'd be happy to pay $7-10,000. I'd prefer the SC for 4wheeling.

Search for it, there’s two Aussie supercharger kits you can get. $10k+ each bit they exist for the Land Cruiser Prado 150 (aka Lexus GX460).

Personally, I absolutely love my GX470, but it is way to slow. It is definitely durable enough to take another 100hp easy, and for brakes and suspension, they are fine too, the GX is actually quite capable if you know how to drive. I was actually thinking of designing a street truck sort of upgraded suspension and brake kit, as there is a lot of room for improvement, since most of us don't do any sort of heavy duty off-roading with it anyway.

Maybe we'll still do a low cost GX single turbo and some of you will change your minds!

I would definitely be interested in this upgrade. I'd be interested how tow capacity is changed as well.

Would be interested if it does not impact the warranty or reaiability. For me, the interest is more on toeing a 5,000 lb trailer. Price would also be a factor. I have a 2023 GX.

I think if people wanted a faster car, they should have bought a faster car to begin with. Why buy a $70k slowish car just to spend another $10-15k to make it go fast? At that point, should have just spent a little more and get an LX or BMW something something.
