2017 GX - how low can I go on price?
New to this forum - and pretty green on car purchasing. We buy and keep forever. I currently have an RX and need more space. I like the GX and am looking at the 2017. Lexus IS offering 4K bonus cash and my local dealer has plenty of 17's on the lot. Can anyone give me guidance on what an estimate is of how much they will take off of MSRP?

I purchased my '17 GX premium over the weekend. MSRP is 58,719. After rebates and discounts, I paid 48,622 + TTL. With TTL, it came out to be 52,000 even number. This is in Houston, TX. Hope this info help the OP with buying decision.

Wow. All these discounts! I still see ‘14-15 used asking $38-40k.

At the Lexus dealership, I think the lowest I could get them on a 2015 "certified" was like $45k and it wasn't a top of the line one. That's why I bought new, the discount for used just wasn't there.
But people pay the used prices they are asking, the dealership called me and said the car had been sold.
My experience is SUVs (especially from Toyota and Lexus) is they have such crazy resale, I feel better just buying new. Sedans though take a much bigger hit. I got a 3 year old ES 350 for like $20k that was still under factory warranty. New would have been like $38k.

It is a ridiculously great time to buy the GX460 now. Back in 9/2014 when I bought my 2015 GX460 Premium, the dealer gave me $2000 off of the MSRP and said "because I have bought many from them so they gave me a better discount than others". They usually discount $1000 off max since they sold every one they have. Didn't even have 1 for test drive.
These days, this same dealer discounts $3000-$3500 off the MSRP, plus the $4000 Lexus cash so right of the bat you have $7000-$7500 off of the MSRP. Man, what a great time.

I just bought one from Northside for a few grand more and "thought" I was getting a good deal at 7k off MSRP.

When it comes to resale GX and LX holds the best value when it comes to Lexus vehicles, I got a 2 year old GS350 for 27k when the new MSRP was 64k. So you can imagine paid less then half in 2 years time.

I got mine from Sterling Mccall. Premium with blind spot monitoring, tow package, all weather mats. I wanted and willing to pay more for the Luxury trim with Mark Levinson sound system, but the dealership only has one on the lot with black ext/ black int. That's definitely not my color combo choice at all.

Purchased a 2017 GX460 luxury with Mark Levinson ~$10k below $65k MSRP this Saturday, inclusive of $4k Lexus Cash. We inquired with multiple dealerships few weeks ago offering $60k OTD for truck in this configuration (no luck), but received a call from salesman on Saturday asking if we were still on the market... Patience does it (last day of the month?), good luck!

You guys got some great deals! Unfortunately I could not get my local dealership to "play ball". I emailed my salesman and the sales manager my criteria and asked about pricing. And they would only quote MSRP via email- said I had to come into the dealership to discuss pricing. So I missed the boat on the Lexus 4k rebate. Will keep looking!

I am glad I checked here. I am looking at a GX in Delaware: "With this said, we will discount our GX460 $6,464 off the MSRP of $57,566 resulting in a selling price of $51,102. We are using all of the Lexus and Columbus Day incentives to provide you this price. " I think I can take it up a little?
