4lo Flashing along with CEL
So today my wife told me some lights were flashing on the truck so it's 4LO along with CEL and Trac Off first thing I did was to check the gas cap coming from GX470 and I did hear a click sound after tightening it up. Truck is starting up and running fine no problems so is it the loose/bad gas cap or something else is wrong with it.

That kinda sounds like the secondary air control issue

That pretty much seals it being related to air control issue. That should be covered under that warranty enhancement.

I didn't go into limp mode at first but eventually did.

I think so but not sure. I can't say I've seen loose gas cap show up with this error but anything is possible. If it does go into limp mode Tecman was able to confirm that if you disconnect the electrical connector on the air pump you will still get the CEL but no limp mode. That front front plastic cover comes up pretty easily... just lots of plastic panel clips to remove.
My fingers are crossed for you and hoping just gas cap.

I had the exact same problem on GX470 but the gas cap was really beaten up it being 8 years old but this one looks to be in pretty good shape just feels like loose, since I'm covered by the enhancement program I'll see how it goes ultimately it's the dealer. Btw shall I drive it around or don't take any chances.

Why not drive it? If it is the secondary air (and I do think so) you can reset to get out of limp mode with Carisa. I have reset the system while driving.

It could be that this is such a high failure item now ...the aftermarket it catching on. This is a fairly common failure on the Tundra forums for the 4.6 and 5.7L motors. There has to be a lot of them out there.

So it looks like it is the secondary air problem and will take it to the dealer during this week. So do I tell them that I already know what is the problem and have received the letter for the Lexus enhancement program or just tell them to diagnose the check engine light.
