Default 2010 GX JD Powers says unreliable?

i am considering purchasing a 2010 GX and in researching noticed the JD Powers reliability score for that year is low! I also noticed there are more 2010's available for sale than any other year. That being said, anyone having any mechanical problems with their 2010? Thanks

Recently had electrical problem with interior lighting. Had to replace ECU.

I have a 2010 and it's been solid. Drives straight, quiet, powerful and trouble free so far. According to the history of the car from precious owner, a few issues were fixed by Lexus, like shocks, kdss etc...but nothing major.
For a 7-yr old car, it still feels like new and luxury.

This is a good list of things to keep an eye out for.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...y-expires.html

2010 did have highest sales numbers of pre-refresh 460 models but many might also being selling now because of age. I plan to keep mine long term.

Everything Ive read indicates it has stellar reliability. Maybe better than any other luxury SUV according to Consumer Reports.

According to JD Power, the 2011 had its highest rating. 5 stars The 2010 doesn't have a rating by them

JD Power btw is a pretty worthless, it's only a survey for the first 90 days. Not a real test for long term reliability.

I had a 2010 and never had any problems. The only problem I had, the dealer over torqued my wheels and warped my brake rotors. They turned them and then I had them replace them under warranty. Mine was solid.

They are overall... highly reliable rigs. Are you looking for specific factory options or aftermarket opportunities once you pick one up?

What about their VDS? The GX was top 3 in their 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 VDS. Highest in 2015 and 2016, Second in 2014 and 2017. Those represent 2011 to 2014 MY. Strangely, 2010 was not on the 2013 VDS - http://autos.jdpower.com/sites/defau...013018-vds.pdf

I wonder if that early 2010 rollover news impacted that model year even though Lexus addressed it?

Maybe but the 2009 GX 470 also was not on the 2012 List - https://www.autohaus.de/fm/3478/VDS-2012.pdf
