Default Brake pads part number

Thinking to replace the brake pads and was looking at Toyota part for the 4Runner but it says ceramic brake pads while the Lexus part doesn't say that. Has anyone tried 4Runner parts and what are the correct part number if I want to goto with the 4Runners.

The TRD brakes part is PTR09-89111. I read that the bedding in procedures can be a pain.

I am pretty sure the OEM ones I got were semi-metallic but not entirely certain now.

I used 04465-60320 on the front and 04466-60140 on the rear.

Reason I want to change that the truck have aftermarket pads on right now and the braking performance is bad (takes a while to stop) is it how it's suppose to be or is it the pads. I just bought it so I'm not sure what is the problem.

Actually for the weight of this thing mine does fairly well... but lots of heavy nose dive on an emergency stop even in Sport mode. Doubtful anyone would claim it is the best braking vehicle they have ever driven.. I did notice somewhat better braking after I swapped the old pads. A lot of subjective stuff I am stating here. It does require more pedal pressure than what I have been typically accustomed to though.

I compare the 460 with the 470 I still have and it has excellent braking even at higher miles but with recently changed Oem pads and rotor resurfacing.

Yeah it takes more pressure to brake than other SUV I drove but I slammed on it a couple of times and it stopped really well. It's something I have to get use too.
I usually get ceramic pads as replacement and haven't bought semi-metallic for a long time. Do you see an improvement after a few months/thousand miles?

From previous posts, I believe you would have to replace both the pads and rotors to see an improvement.

I have been running with this for a while now and happy with performance. I usually warp rotors with my harsh driving habits. Bought from a previous member here that sold their GX .

Please keep us posted if you notice a difference. I feel like I noticed a difference on mine... even stoplight creep seemed to be reduced.

Just picked it up after putting the front struts on, changed the rears and spark plugs last week. Planning to put the brakes next week.
