Got a chance to try out MTS (Mud & Sand)/4H on the freeway last night in a heavy pass snow storm on I-90. In that scenario it really did keep the GX even more composed in the heavy wet snow and slush with an ice layer. White out conditions for like 10-15 miles and 20-30 wrecks. I think many who don't go off road would value this mode if they drive in snowy areas. As mentioned before..the caveat is you have to be under 7 MPH to engage that mode but you can run normal road speeds once it is on.

I finally got the time for a swap. I also ran into C120A twice eventhough both ABS and VCS lights blinked just like the instructions said. There wasn’t an actual C120A error popped up but the crawl button didn’t do anything. When I exit TS and went back into Utility-Chassis-Abs/vcs/trac-Test mode then C120A showed up as incomplete calibration. The VCS light stayed on when this happened. I redid it twice by turned off the car, unplugged TS and went back to Test mode again.
I have TechStream version 12.00.127
Then the last time, after calibration, the VCS light turned off. Voila!
What a beautiful icon. Lol
The TS screen. Utility-Chassis-Abs/vcs/trac screen. Reset is to clear. Test is to recalibrate.

All of us own you a pitcher of beer.
One thing to note with TS. I have version 12.00.127 so it may not be the same with newer version, but when connecting the USB and you have to choose make, model, engine, I also have Radar Cruise or
Other. I chose Other for the first 2 tries and the VCS light stayed on after calibration and CC didn’t work. I then reconnected chose Radar Cruise and recalibrated and it worked. It could be a coincident as some have experienced with communication issue but just want to throw it out there in case someone runs into the same issue.
I tested it in the parking lot in low and medium settings. Will find a incline to give it a real test soon.

I have version 12.10.xxx and have the selection of radar cruise and other as well. I always choose other and was work on the third try. Not sure that option selection has anything to do with the settings, it is there maybe for the data collection purpose. Regardless what your selection, you still have the access to all available ECUs on your vehicle anyway.
Btw did you manage to get the 4th screw in? The one beneath the air suspension on/off? I tried and dropped it somewhere in that big console haha so three crews for me.

I had just about punted the whole idea of this mod. The lack of new part availability and prices I was was seeing was discouraging me.
Where were the best prices and supply you found? Middle East? Japan?
I'm thinking I might actually give this a shot if I can source both needed parts for around $400 like Acrad did. Living in Birmingham, AL., I have little utility for snow driving, won't be taking the Missus's Veeehicle off road or hill/rock climbing...
So... now you see my reluctance to move forward with the mod.

If it weren't for ObsidianBl referencing the Russian thread it would still be a lot of speculation. Glad it is working out for everyone.

Thinking back that is something that I forgot about. I put a small Costco auto towel at bottom of the console when I was pulling things out in case a screw dropped. They held onto magnetic screwdriver or some old tape sticky on it on a removal. Putting back I used a small pieces of black electrical wire around the screw and screwdriver so I could thread in without falling out.

040 prices seem about the same at US dealers... more expensive if you find overseas as it is an export only market item and not used in Japan.
The 020 is cheapest here. Now about $135/shipped
https://www.parts-sale.jp/index.php?...rch=859A160020
If Megazip can deliver on the 070 now it would be around the price I paid at $275/shipped. Be sure to use the 10% coupon on their page.

That have an ETA on delivery so makes me think it is available again
