EDIT: I am curious if someone without Intuitive Park Assist has this module. It's a really easy check.

I was looking inside the glove box and noticed there is a removable panel on the left. I pulled off and there is a module there. Now...this module may need to be replaced with the "020" version but seems to be pretty easy to get at assuming the glove box is easy to remove. Looks like most I've worked with that has like 5-6 screw. Not sure if front passenger soft trim or anything lower needs to be removed to remove glovebox. I need to check FSM.

Look at drive control diagram. DAC and Crawl Control seems on the same connector and EUC seems already in the car since its combined with other basic function such as traction control, etc. Maybe it is just a plug-N-play with different switch panel.

No kidding... extended test drive ;-)

It would be a quick test to see what happens.

Light the fire.

Cough.... Extend test drive.... cough..... or..... Turo cough cough. Kidding

The google translation made it seem it was just plug and play. But I can’t say for sure since I haven’t taken anything apart. Maybe there is some hope for my heated steering wheel.

Crawl control and multi camera would be a very nice addition. Not too interested in lane departure or radar cruise.

Finding a used switch might prove difficult since relatively rare option.

Here is a place in Dubai that has it for $190.70 + whatever other charges are involved.

Looks like a continuation of discussion about this on a Prado forum in Russia.

Possible an ABS reset with Techstream. This is from the 4Runner retrofit.

Latest forum link above I see them doing this reset procedure.

Someone with a Prado just converted with a button here. Strong evidence of 020 module needed. I think I will see if I can read any numbers off module with my inspection camera. First guy was plug and play...may have already had 020 from factory. The second one replaced module and installed switch.

I am wondering if this has anything to do with the trim level whether 010 or 020 has been installed. For example, 2014 GX states: Drive Support Package is only available to Luxury trim, maybe some of the subtle function were driven from the 020 module (or combined with 020), therefore the switch replace and system reset are all needed in order to bring in the crawl function. Other trims may only have 010 in place and may need the replacement. Just a wild speculation. I don't how easy to be able to see the part number without removing the glovebox. I would love to look into this.

I just looked as well with my camera. One would need to pull glovebox. That module is surrounded in it's bracket so I couldn't see any version numbers.

Looks like there are five different revs

So, according to the parts description, it all named: "Computer, Driving Support", there were manufacturing date differences, and combined functions difference, such as Parking Assists, etc. Is crawl control in all of them? Another general practice in automotive industries, often same parts has the different part number for different model years too, even it is an exact same part, purely for inventory allocation purposes.

The module in that bracket that I might be looking at is the telematic transceiver. I think module might be the one on the left where two sit side-by-side.

Glovebox removal

Probably not a good time for me to tear into my dash right now and need to do an oil change on my G35x tomorrow.
