Lexus of Tacoma - "We do not stock 84970-60070. It would cost $635.98 to order it and would have to be prepaid."

 

My dealer quoted me $518 prepaid. It's kinda ridiculous that every dealer has a different price for the same part. From $370 all the way to almost $700.

 

"We do not have that part in stock. It will take us 1-5 business days to get at our dealership if it still available."

I've asked what the updated part number is for a '18 GX with Driver Support
"I just noticed that the part you inquired about has been discontinued. We cannot even order it anymore. I apologize for the inconvenience."

 

The description on those parts are so confusing. Acrad35751 is right about how dealer like to do that is to group those parts based on option package for easier organizing. Pre-crash has nothing to do with the console switch itself but it is part of the package with Drive Support, Radar Cruise Control, etc. So, if you search for any parts within those area, you will often find the reference of Pre-Crash. The actual pre-crash associated components will be Distance Radar Unit, PCS switch (located under the steering wheel, Driver Monitoring Unit on top and behind steering wheel, Distance button on steering wheel, Cruise Control Switch and different wire harness.

 

Just ordered from here, hope they really do have them in stock!

I guess LEXUS marketing executives must have a scratching heads meeting now, how could have butch of amateurs to spend few hundreds and take away of thousands dollars potential revenue ....... should never left those wire harnesses there

On the Ru forums it seemed like there were quite a number of Prados that didn't have the Driver Support computer at all or the wires were missing from the switch to the computer. On the Prados this similar switch is on the center stack.

 

I'll check today... maybe i'll ask for a volume discount!

So far so good from OEMVehicleParts, although it still shows processing. I'll update if I get a cancellation notice.

 

 

I've also got an pending order with them, but I'm not expecting it to go through. Interesting that Lexus of Kendall claims 60080 is the correct part. Please keep us posted.
