Unfortunately no dynamic lines on my '12. This may be something that shows up on the '14+ though.

Have you try running TIS again after replace the 020? I am wondering if there are more configurable options under TIS especially that you have mentioned there are camera options show up even without actually camera installed. Maybe the dynamic guideline is part of option needs to be enabled, etc. Just a wild thought. But regardless, you are well done on this mod, Congratulations!

The throttle response is so bad on the GX that it should be a standard item.

I haven't but what I gathered from Russian forums is it would provide all it could if CC profile was being used on skid control ECU. It looks like more is offered on the '14+ in regards to MTS.. There are even front steerable guide lines on the front camera.

According to my '14 operation manual, with factory multi-tread and cameras, it is true that you can activate front camera with track line, very much similar to my LX, it will display two rectangle box to represent front tires and projected track lines which moves with steering wheel to represent the track path. To help you and guide you through the trend knowing what you might hit and drive over. Since we don't have the front camera with this mod, but I will definitely like to see if after replacing with 040 on mine will be able to bring out dynamic line on reverse camera. Which is enabled with factory drive support package option on '14 GX.

Strong chance this will come with the 040. I need to look at parts diagrams and see if there is anything different with head units. On the '10-'13 Prados they do list some grid lines but IIRC they all use different head units with JBL stereos. I'll need to look into this more.

EDIT: If the dynamic lines don't show up I wonder if there are some device requirements like the camera view button on steering wheel or presence of front and/or side camera

If anyone wants some other reading material... This guy did a similar modification to his 150 Prado. The link should be translated already.

Another tip if you need auto translate and using desktop Chrome you can right click to translate.... but there are also options that will appears at top of browser to auto-translate the page on the fly. You can see I am on a Mac but should work the same on Windows Chrome

Vehicle was flat in my garage when I did my calibration/reset but if in doubt you can view the current settings in TS (ABS/VSC-Live data area) that vehicle is indeed level if you were doing the calibration outside.

Confirmed part #'s for 2010-2013:
84970-60070
  • Enables Crawl Control.
  • Part is for center control switches (near gear selector)
  • Confirmed by Acrad in this thread for 2010-2013 GX
  • Priced around $275 from a UAE source
859A1-60020
  • Enables Multi Terrain Select System
  • Part is for driver support computer module located near the passenger glove box
  • Confirmed by Acrad in this thread for 2010-2013 GX
  • Priced around $140 from a Japanese source
=====================================================
Unconfirmed part #'s for 2014+:
84970-60070
  • Most likely will enable Crawl Control
  • Part is for center control switches (near gear selector)
  • Has not been tested on 2014+ vehicles (will update this post when necessary)
859A1-60040 or 859A1-60050 or 859A1-60051
  • Most likely enables Multi Terrain Select System
  • Could provide '14+ vehicles with the dynamic lines on the backup camera
  • Part is for driver support computer module located near the passenger glove box
  • Has not been tested on 2014+ vehicles (will update this post when necessary)
Question:
On post #72(Seen here), member BA777 posted 2 numbers for his 2016 Luxury with driver support. Can someone help clarify these 2 part numbers? The part # ending in 031 is the same that Hzhao confirmed in his vehicle and quite possibly the same in all the Base and Premium 2014+ models. Should member BA777 should have a different part number for his driver support computer?
Edit:
Question answered in post# 154

The first number of BA777 is the skid control ECU. We don't need to worry about that part now. It would appear all '10-13 US models are using 010 and '14+ (US) possibly all have 031. Not sure on '17/'18. I've seen some references that dynamic might be in the Infotainment head unit.

Hopefully the parts department in that Toronto Lexus dealer gets back to me this week.

For those that are interested in ordering the console switches, carparka is out of stock and back order from Japan could be up to 45 days. Megazip.net still has it and 10% off is good for a few more hours.

Took a 20 mile drive earlier today. I didn't get a chance to use it for off-road...

Just wanted some longer operational piece-of-mind that a CEL wasn't gonna crop up on me.

Stopped and activated/deactivated CC & MTS...just wanted to make sure I wasn't dreaming :-)

Anyone ever do a Credit Card Price Match or something like Citibank Price Rewind on something purchased out of country? Surely some of the expensive switches are in stock in US. I haven't looked at terms on such offers if in US only.

Most companies have fine print saying that it has to be a US purchase. There are some cards that exclude car parts and accessories.

But it wouldn’t hurt to ask some of the online retailers to pricematcg their competition.
