I am using the one that bbqsoup recommended in another thread. This one seems to be doing well.
Not sure how well it will wash up but will post back when I do. Some talk about "oiling it" on the Amazon Q&A... yeah... I'm not gonna go all K&N on the cabin filter. :-)

BTW ... K&N did not recommend oiling the cabin filter.

Just got a quote from the dealer... Here it is:
Joking aside, I purchased OEM filter from Amazon and replaced it in 10 seconds. That's one of the simple maintenance items that most can do themselves and no need for dealers (specially in Canada, where dealers literally charge an arm and leg for ANY thing).

is he correct? should the filter direction arrow match the filter cover arrow direction? I dont think so.

Dealership uses ”trained mechanics”, that’s why it takes them so long. Of course they then have to charge the minimum billable for that time.

Worth doing frequently ... especially if you park outside overnight ... no mouse turds in that photo, but it is very common for mice to get into the ventilation box above the filter. That's why I use a K&N filter ... has a wire mesh screen to where the mice cannot chew thru the paper filter and easily get into the cabin.

Yes, it’s one of the easiest filter change ever...

Still using these filters that bbqsoup recommended years back.
I have two and just swap in the clean one around 6 month intervals. I just wash it out with water and that works well enough for cleaning
