Thanks for the tips, I don't see many premium ones with the price and miles I'm comfortable with, I have boiled down to two base trucks one is 2011 and other is 2013 question is , is there any different between the year 2011 and 2013 ? Is it any better then the other. Thanks

Looking at product information sheets the following was added in 2012

- Color-keyed bodyside molding with chrome accent
- Fire Agate Pearl as available color
- High-gloss wheel finish on Premium model

2013 doesn't show any additional changes

That's nothing major like on my GS the newer models have upgraded transmission, better sound system and soo much more. I was thinking GX might have similar story. Thanks

Unfortunately, I haven't see any resources that would give that level of accurate detail via the VIN.

I just bought a 2012 with 97k from Lexus of Nashville, TN for 25,000.
The shocks and struts need to be replaced, but otherwise I'm happy with it.
I owned an 04' with Mark Levinson and that would be a nice perk if you get find a premium for a good deal.
Gas mileage is rough, I'm doing good to get 15 around town, and you need to use premium.

Default Be Persistent, Patient, They're Out There

I'm also in Dallas. I bought a 2013 GX 460 Premium in April. I was patient and looked for about 6-7 months before I found the perfect truck (color, miles, condition, maintenance history, etc...). I finally found it on CarGurus and flew down to Fort Hood ($150 ticket) to pick it up and give her a new home. It was a Texas truck originally purchased at Lexus of Austin. Someone had traded it in at GMC dealership on one of those new fancy $60k pick up trucks.

It is my first Lexus and I'm still in the honeymoon period but I am very satisfied so far. Mine is a Premium with 83k miles and I paid just under $27,000. They raved about its condition and I have to say that even after doing so I was expecting not to be completely satisfied but the condition of this truck was better than I expected. It came with all the carpet mats and a cargo mat as well and both key fobs. It even still had the cargo tonneau cover. I wasn't counting on that. They usually get left behind in someones garage. Tires had 8/32 tread remaining. So plenty of life left in them. Fresh oil change, inspection and a tank of fuel and my happy *** was on my way back to Dallas.

I havent towed yet but I plan to do so.

For the record, I hadn't found a any 2013 Premiums with less than 100k miles for less than $28,999.

I have seen one in Dallas 2013 with 66k miles have crawl control, lane departure warning along with the DVD package for 30500$. So let's see I saw one 2011 also one owner nice condition for 24500 with 85k miles in base package. I'm still thinking how much I want to spend or just maybe get a new one with this much money down and pay the rest on installments.

If the 2013 is a Premium, then it's a great deal! Depends on if you're going to lift, upgrade suspension on it or not, then the base may make more sense due to airbags but if you're not doing any of that, the Premium is nice. Crawl control is really rare on used and it would definitely help with resale later. Also with 2013, you get some minor changes with the button/control layout too. Like temp display on dash, and maybe some other feature in the console Nav.

A few options not there and some updates but that '13 with those options is at least $60k if you go for a '17. I think the case for a "new" base is far easier.

That's a good deal.. I would have sprung for that '13 had it been available in my area. I paid $32k for mine with shy of 35K miles. Those extra tech options are quite rare in the US market. Of course... you always see these fully decked models in the online video reviews.

I think it's a good price. I've seen higher prices for those with similar mileage around here. Maybe you can work it down a bit more.

You could always bring up the front passenger airbag issue as a negotiating tactic. 2012's aren't supposed to get the fix until December.
