You shouldn't get any lights or notifications on the dash. If you run a full Techstream or OBDLink scan you will find codes related to the missing shocks but just a side effect of removal.

Default Similar air issue

I did a airbag to coil-spring conversion and I could hear the air compressor running when I checked the height adjustment switch. I haven't attempted to remove power or fuses, but I am concerned the motor will eventually burn out and I'll end up with errors. Did anyone come up with a fix?

Were you trying to manually adjust the suspension?

If you have suspension set where it isn't normally going off you could always look at de-pinning the connections to the console switch for the suspension.

Unfortunately the closest I have seen to compressor delete was a member of GXOR who gutted the motor of the compressor motor itself but left all of the other compressor electrical intact. I never heard specifics of what he did though to the compressor.

Removal of fuses or relays will result in errors though.

I'll look at pulling the pins, thanks!

After removing the air suspension, doing the spacer trick, and putting in crawl control (with no air suspension controls), I had no error messages, but I did hear the compressor from time to time. I have no idea how often it was running but I noticed my battery getting lower over time. It was time to get rid of the compressor!

Here’s the deal- you can remove all of it, just not the solenoid. It was a pain, but the compressor is out, the solenoid remains, and everything is working well. The only image I could find for the job was the stock image below so I’ve added some of mine. You can see what was removed and what remains.

I could have removed more things (lines, etc.) but I didn’t bother. The good news is that I won’t hear the air compressor again because it ain’t there. 👍🏼

Thanks you!

A few have reportedly done this over the years but never documented to this detail.
