Does anyone know whether you can purchase the Gunmetal Grey rims available with the Sport Option? I don't need to captains chairs. Other option is to have them power coated but I have never coated new rims before. Thanks

I also like the wheel color that comes with the Sport Design Pkg but like you we don't want the captains chairs.. So if we purchase an GX I planned on asking the dealer if they're available, or I may just have them put on a set of the F Sport wheels.

As far as powder coating there is nothing to it, just find yourself a highly recommended shop. I recently had powder coating done on my car and used a company that people I know had used. In addition to being the most reputable shop out of the ones I spoke with, the best part was they allowed me to leave the car overnight so I dropped it off at 4PM and picked it up 10AM the next morning.

Other companies I spoke with didn't provide this service so I would have had to remove the wheels and leave the car on jack stands overnight. I didn't mind removing the wheels and reinstalling them, I just didn't want to leave the car on jackstands overnight.

Are these rims fairly dark? This brochure pic for my '12 doesn't show it well but rims on mine are obviously the optional noticeably darker Liquid Graphite color.

Even these pics don't show it that well and frankly I think sport wheels are totally different. These are definitely not silver though... there is a grey tint to them.
