This may not covered by the warranty although there is an extended warranty (from the 4yr/50k because the secondary air pump is an issue with the Tacoma trucks as well. The pump has a foam filter and if it dries out it throws the debris into the valves. The cost is around $2500 to replace the pump and valves. I wasn't not able to convince the dealer that this is a known issue but was able to work with Lexus and only pay a few hundred dollars for the labor. The warranty was extended for this repair to 48 months adn 50k miles
If it's the pump it is a known issue for 2010 to 2013 models and you can fight it with the dealer. The service bulletin is L-SB-0028-14 and the normal trouble codes are P0418, P2440,P2442 and or P2445. While troubleshooting with my odb2 tester (to reset the the car after it was going into limp mode) I saw a few other error codes as well but can't remember them. Take it to a 3rd party shot first, if it's the secondary air pump and/or valves take it to Lexus and get ready for a rumble.

I just got my letter for the extended warranty in the mail today! Good news although I was lucky that they just covered this a few months ago even though I was out of warranty. I guess better late than never.
Thanks for all the I formation about the secondary air injection problem. I have a 2011 and I am out of warranty, but I brought it to Sterling McCall Lexus and they were able to do replace the pump and valve free of charge to me.
What years does this problem affect? I'm debating buying a low mileage '15/'16 or going with a new '17. Just wondering if this issue has been resolved or still in contention for the late model years.

Now my 2012 with 74k is giving me those two codes... Do you know if your dealer automatically extended the warranty for specific components?

For those of you who already had it done under warranty, did the your pump go out or did the dealer simply replaced the entire unit anyway during your last service visit since it's on Lexus corporate's dime?
Can anyone tell me which model years of the GX 460 this problem affects? I'm contemplating either buying a new 2017 or a lightly used 2016 and wondering if these years are affected by this issue.
