I think you are referring to the air pump assy, bank 1. See if these wire colors looks familiar:

Default P2420 Evap Error Troubleshooting

HI, All. I'm a new member here. I've had my 2010 GX460 for about 9 months now and it's been great. I had a few Toyotas in my household (87 Tercel Wagon 4WD 6MT, 1987 Celica, 1988 Corolla All-Track Wagon 5MT, 04 Matrix), but the last +10 years I've used Honda Odysseys for family hauling. The GX is a nice upgrade. It's still stock other than slightly taller tires and an upgrade to the Beatsonic Android Auto/Carplay system.Unfortunately, earlier this week the CEL and stability control warnings lit-up. The 4-LO light was also blinking. Googles found a bunch of GX forum posts indicating this was likely an evap error, usually a secondary injection pump. Sometimes the foam filter in the secondary air injection pump can disintegrate and contaminate the system. My basic ODB scanner showed P2420, which is a code for Evaporative Emission System Switching Valve Control Circuit High which is commonly caused by a stuck or failed vent valve.

I checked the foam filter in the secondary injection pump & it looks/feels like new...no degradation. A common upgrade is to replace this foam filter with a generic paper breather valve to avoid potential foam contamination. I'll probably do that eventually.

I'm a little surprised that there's so little information on troubleshooting this code. A 1.5 hour video on troubleshooting the evap system on toyotas...and a bunch of other evap error codes. There's a TSB and extended warranty for 150k miles and 10 years for the evap/SAI system (I'm past the 10 year mark). The TSB instructions give me the impression a more advanced scan tool can determine which valve may be sticking open/shut. I suppose because there's a TSB and extended warranty most people just take it to the dealer, rather than DIY repair.

The Ihatemud forum has a few links to actual repair manuals...but the links seem a little sketchy...and I'm not sure how helpful they'll be if they just direct the tech to scan for faults. Can anyone point me in the direction of troubleshooting guides to see where I may have a valve that's failing? I'd rather not start throwing parts at the problem. I'm not a mechanic, but I've done major repairs on other vehicles (engine replacement, suspension work, brakes, alternators) and can follow instructions. The search function didn't return any results on P2420, so I may be asking for help in the wrong forum.

That service campaign is now open ended with no year or mileage limits for 2010-2013 models. Your dealer should fix for free.

Wow, this is nice to hear. I'll have to get this scheduled. Thanks for the heads-up, much appreciated.

Not so simple. My local dealer (an hour away) replaced the secondary air injection valves under the extended warranty/TSB. Unfortunately, I got the car home & it threw the same code & lights the next day. It's back at the dealer now and the text notification indicates they want to replace the charcoal cannister (fuel vapor cannister) for +$800. It's a $400 part at Lexus list price ($<300 from online Lexus dealers). At $200/hr. labor it's pretty easy to see how they get to $800. I'm waiting for a call from the service advisor to confirm this is an out-of-pocket. It looks like an easy-enough part to access & replace. If I was a little more confident in their diagnosis, I'd just pay them a diagnostic fee and replace it myself. The fact it's the same exact code, give me reason to pause and confirm this is the actual issue.
