I have look at two used GX460 this week...both are not CPO
One was a 2012 another a 2010
Pulled up Lexus history...both cars had engine pulled and oil leak repaired, one at 18K, another at 40K.

Is this a common issue for early 2nd generation models?

strange. never seen that issue here.
but definitely look underneath these gxs. very prone to rust away!

Oil leaks are not a common problem reported here. Good luck with your search

That's pretty odd. If they had to pull the engine, then it was likely a rear main seal issue which is not something common with the GX, or anything this new. And if there was a known issue with early models, it should have been addressed by 2012. Not that pulling an engine is a terrible thing, but I might look elsewhere if you have the time and patience.
