Looks good! Just curious, are you rear windows tinted? If they are, those lights are damn bright!

I agree. Those interior lights are like a football stadium. Not a bad thing at all.

Curious - do you have a link to the Amazon product? Me be thinking of an upgrade and have Xmas gift cards to us up

Yes, the rear of the GX has privacy glass and the lights are still really bright/visible. Much brighter than the stock bulbs.

Here is the Amazon link:

Next order of business is to replace the reverse lights. Thanks to my fellow GX owners who posted some good info on bulbs and diy instructions.
Can you post a link to the diy?

I bought a set as well. I want to compare them with my VLEDS that cost $12 each several years ago and cost that or more today.

Please post pics once you have them installed. I've had the Yorkims on my CT for over a year and they're still going strong.

I compared the Yorkim with with my 3+ year old VLEDs today. As you can see in the first 2 pics my VLEDs are 4 on one side. This doesn't really make a difference in the truck, but it causes a shadow in the middle of the running board. It is hard to show a difference with pictures so I took 3 pics of each with an ipad air2 to confirm the results. What you may not see here is the VLED has a whiter/bluish output while the Yorkim has a touch of yellow. I only did this comparison with the 2 front overhead console lights.

I have no complaints with either led. Price is quite significant and I have only replaced one VLED because I noticed it looked a bit dim. When I pulled of the cover I found one of the four leds was out. If you choose the Yorkim I would keep an eye on performance. Five leds per bulb and a few burn out here or there maybe hard to notice with gradual burn outs.

I do wonder how the new VLED compares to the Yorkin? Happy modding

Nice comparison and pics, tecman! Haven't tried the VLEDs yet, but I've also heard good things. I decided to give the Yorkims a shot first since they were significantly cheaper on Amazon, with good overall reviews. Hopefully they will hold up. If not, we'll only be out a few bucks. They've held up well so far on my CT, but only time will tell. Happy modding!

Do we need to buy one set or two to do this Mod?
Also, in order to remove the plastic lens cover, do we have to pry these from side or front or back. I would like to do this on my GX.

Thanks

The pack comes with 10 LEDs. I ended up buying two packs just to have spares readily available, but a single pack would work. There are 6 main interior courtesy lights and 4 required for the running boards (10 in total). If you want to replace the vanity mirrors bulbs, they're 2825 (2) and the reverse bulbs are 921 (2). Regarding the removal, I just used a small flathead screwdriver and gently pried from the back of the covers.
