i just got a 15 gx460 that has screens behind the front seat for the kids to watch movies. Does anybody know if these headphones are wireless or have to be plugged in?

i wanted to know before I ordered a set.

I would check with your Lexus dealer to make sure that the headsets are compatible with the unit behind your headrest since they should be wireless. And If it's not wireless, there should be a jack for plugging in headphones.

First post, forgive me if it doesn't come thru correctly...

On my 2010 they are both. There are ports below the climate control for a hard plug(s), and wireless headsets from Lexus also play the audio. However, to separate the audio from the front compartment, such as listening to the radio while the kids watch a movie, a 3.5mm port must be inserted into a "phones" jack. I do not know if this was carried over to the 2014+ rear entertainment system.

In order to view 2 movies, a 2nd dvd source must be connected to the input below the rear climate control.

Also be aware that many new GXs were sold with aftermarket headrest systems. Your answer might not be universal.
