new gx with sport design
took delivery this morning on a new 2017 gx premium with sport design after trading in my 2014 gx base. definitely feels more luxurious with all the premium features. msrp 61619, otd 555xx with discount & tax credit.
transferred from base my crossbars, tow package, rear clear tail lights, all weather mats, and had the dealer throw in a free satin silver door edge guards.
took to tint shop all day and did xpel whole front & door handle cups, llumar ctx 30% front windows, and air blue 80 on windshield & rear privacy glass for heat rejection for $1500 flat. it was a long day(10:25 pm now) but finally finished everything. here is the picture...

Congrats! The silver contrast on the lips remind me of some of the Audi vehicles. I wonder if that's where they got their inspiration from because no other Lexus, to my knowledge, has ever had silver lip add-ons. Very interesting. So does the Sport Package come with the F-Sport wheels or did you have to pay extra for them? I don't recall those wheels being mentioned in the brochure, although it would make
the most sense.

Thank you gentlemen.
as far as the f sport rims, it did come with the vehicle from the factory(although its not part of the sport design package). I did have the f-sport rims also on my 14 gx I traded in but for some reason, this new 17 gx f sport rims appear to be more silver color compared to my f rims on my 14 which had a more gun metal look to it(might just be my imagination.....).
I'll try to provide more pics soon JT.
the silver lips on the front & rear really compliment the nebula gray color, which was the reason I added "satin silver" color door edge guards & kept the rear taillights clear( silverish) instead of the newscarlet red.
On the interior, I got black but I wouldnt have minded sepia. you cant go wrong with either black or sepia, I think both looks great & provides good contrast to nebula gray. Plus they have the all weather mats that matches the sepia color also.

The rims look good, I'm assuming the dealer must have ordered this GX with the F Sport rims.. Yeah I also thought the F Sport rims were a little darker..

here are some more pics you requested JT.
I like both black & sepia interiors but personally I recommend black because when I used to work as a valet 10 yrs ago, I would notice alot of older luxury cars that had brown interiors but they all did not age well(black stains, more noticeable wrinkles, just didnt look good in my opinion).
I only get gray color cars but I did notice an onyx colored gx with sport design package at the dealership & it looked really good especially with the scarlet rear taillights.
as far as the difference between my 2014 base gx & my new 2017 premium, it feels like day & night, all the luxury features are definitely worth it.
Hope you find the GX with the features you're looking for JT & let me know how it goes.

Mine came with captain's chairs(I believe all trims with sport design package comes mandatory with captains chairs).
Tax credit is for example, you want to buy a car that's worth $30,000 and the vehicle you're trading in to the dealership is worth $20,000(amount they buy the car from you).
You end up only paying tax on your new purchase for only $10,000 which is the difference.
Another example, let's say you're trading in your old GX 460 for $40,000 but want to buy a new GX 460 for $55,000.
You end up only paying tax on your new purchase for $15,000.
Not all states offer the tax credit. I know for sure California doesn't.
