2014 GX460 Alerts Check Air Suspension System
Hello All
I mistakenly connected +ve to -ve while trying to jump start a depleted battery earlier today, there was a spark and when a new battery was fixed the vehicle won't start. We eventually replaced the battery fuse and some others, but the vehicle has an alert on since then saying "check air suspension system". Guess this is also either a blown fuse or relay, but am not sure where this is and if it also needs replacement.

Same thing happened to me. Bought a new battery and the car still runs fine, however I still have this message. I did not see any blown fuses. Did you manage to fix it?
Brought it to the dealer and it ended up being a fuse. Not sure where it was located that I missed it.

I assume you have this error message. Without a code it is usually just a big guessing game. Lots of items make up the AVS and RAHC systems.
You can either troubleshoot pulling codes with a home Techstream install or something like OBD Fusion/Link

excuse my ignorance, what is +ve and -ve? are these markings somewhere on the lexus?
i assume this is some labeling tied to the battery. i know all about electronics, worked as an ee for a while, but am unfamiliar with +ve and -ve
as for jumping, starting, etc. i recommend never jump starting these vehicles.
the best option is a super (aka ultra) capacitor. you can even permanently install one and you most likely would never have to worry about a dead battery again. ever.
second best is one of those rechargeable packs. they are cheaper, but i suggest the super cap.
i do have the autowit shown in the video
they store a useful charge for over an hour, you can charge from another vehicle if you would have to, although i dont know why you would have to unless you dont even have a battery in the car, or it sprung a leak

That capacitor is pretty big to store, I do see smaller ones are available. I pull out my Lithium-ion jumper every few months and it is always around 80% when I recharge it.

“ve” is the question, positive and negative symbols are clear.

I had two error codes C1781 ECU and C1782 low battery. Adebolao's comment to focus on the fuses was helpful and Fuse 29 (7.5A) was blown. I replaced the fuse and that seems to have resolved the problem. Today is day 1 without the check air suspension message so I am hoping it provides the long term fix.
Thank you for this chat, my mechanic who I respect was looking at replacing some expensive parts but I decided to keep driving with the warning light as the suspension seemed to still be working. After several months of driving I decided to surf the internet for options and ended up on this chat.
